The New FBI was thought of after several beers and some great Mexican food at Taco Surf in Los Alamitos. 2 musicians from opposite sides of the world decided to form a band (A really big one) with horns and play all the great horn band songs from the 70's, 80's and on. Crazy, yes? But what transpired was finding some really great people, professionals from all walks of life, that were eager to play these songs in a big band. Besides, there was no place else one could go to play in this size group. So The New FBI was born.
We have played all over South Orange County and North Orange County into Long Beach. We have performed at The Blue Cafe in Huntington Beach, The Blue Cafe in Long Beach, Martini Blues, The Coach House, opening for The Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Billy Vera and The Beaters, Bill Champlin of Chicago, private parties and charity events.
We play all the best from some of the greatest bands that recorded in the 70's and 80's. Tower of Power, Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, Cold Blood, Steely Dan, Tina Turner Review, The Lon Bronson All Star Band, The Blues Brothers, Joe Cocker, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Hughie Lewis and The News, Carlos Santana, Oingo Boingo and more!
